The Hive necklace series began as a study of hives found in nature and has evolved into an ongoing exploration of form and color. With its spare silhouette and deep, saturated gradient, the Blue Ridge Hive necklace evokes a view of distant, layered hills.
The rich, colorful surfaces of the Hive necklaces are created by sifting, layering, and melting powdered glass onto steel.
